1978

Raycom Data Technologies, Inc was established as a California Corporation.

1979

Raycom in collaboration with Quantor Systems created first Cut Fiche Com Recorder Model 105 which utilized 7 tracks and 9 Track Magnetic reel drive.

1980

Quantor System was bought by NCR Corporation. Raycom assisted NCR in upgrading Quantor 105 to NCR Model 5330 which utilized hard disk for program development and storage of setups to run Microfiche jobs.

1982

NCR 5330 Com Recorder was modified to run 3680 Cartridges which had a larger capacity in comparison to 7 Track and 9 Track Reel Tapes.

1983

Raycom provided support to Fuji Film in developing Com Film RF500. This is widely used in Microfiche recorder throughout the World.

1985

Raycom in collaboration with Photomatrix developed fully automated Microfiche Duplicator.

1991

Raycom Developed COLD (computer output to lased disk; i.e. Worm, CD_Rom, DVD) Software on request of its customer “Cigna Health Plan” to replace microfiche. Software allows customer authorized personnel to search and retrieve data by multiple search fields. Data can be shared or sent via e-mail, faxed over organization LAN/WAN system. Software is currently used by many of Raycom customer’s.

1993

Raycom Data Technologies, Inc on behest of its customer “Security Pacific Bank” developed a document imaging software. Raycom’s Document imaging Software (RDIS) is widely used by Raycom for Document, Microfilm, Microfiche, Large format drawings, checks, and aperture card scanning.

1994

Established secure electronic delivery service through VPN/ FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server.

1995

established Web site development and maintenance services. Accomplished custom development of exporting methods to match importing requirements of other document management software uses standard release scripts to connect seamlessly to business systems from IBM®, Oracle®, Microsoft®, Open Text®, Hyland®, Interwoven®, and many others

1996

RDIS was upgraded to incorporate for Aero California to track document trail i.e. document searched, copied, faxed and by who.

2002

Developed Software for Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to track multiple arrest and booking of individuals in different events of person involvement. Over 77 million records on microfiche were scanned and performed full text OCR for conversion ASCII file format and restore to Sheriff’s Department Main Frame Computer.

2004

accepted Raycom Data Technologies as a Partner and, allowed Raycom to incorporate their Binarization of Gray-Scale-KSC-12490 processing technique in Raycom imaging software (RDIS).

2006

new feature was added to RDIS to access documents from any location via “Web Browser” add-on.

2008

added feature in RDIS to scan images in PDF format.

2008

The County of Riverside closed their in house operation and joined Raycom to provide secured Microfiche with Data being transferred via Encrytpted SFTP site, allowing Raycom to provide service to multiple County departments.

2009

Self contained searchable CD/DVD was developed for Los Angeles County Treasurer eliminating software storage on desktop.

2013

RDIS upgraded with feature for redaction on scanned images.

2014

State of Alaska chooses Raycom as an exclusive Vendor for digitization of their Records. Raycom has digitized 10 million records for the State to date.

2015

Raycom completed Training and instillation of RDIS software and conversion of 7 million crime reports, homicide reports and management records for the Sacramento County Sheriff Department Raycom also integrated a barcode reader toolkit to RDIS for this project to be able to index the reports.

2016

The City of Grand Junction Police Department records were digitized and records uploaded to Central Server.

2017

Southern California IBEW Trust Fund software was modified to add a barcode reader for their Accounts Payable and Receivable documents.
